Want to see how a self-organised sports club works? You can do a school internship or an orientation internship with us. You shadow our sports groups and the club office and get real insight into training, organisation and club work.

What you do with us
As an intern you shadow us – and get to know the club from two angles.
In the sports groups
You accompany training sessions, help with setting up and exercises and support the participants – always alongside the coaches.
In the club office
You take a look behind the scenes: membership administration, planning, public relations, projects and events.
Good for your career path
An internship with us is a good start if you later want to train as a sports and fitness management assistant (Sport- und Fitnesskaufmann/-frau) – or work professionally as a coach or instructor. You get to know both sides: hands-on work in the sports groups and how a club is organised in the club office.

Request
Write to Markus Lenz: when, for how long and in what context you would like to do an internship – as a school internship or an orientation internship.

Decision
The board decides on your request. Markus will get back to you.

Planning
Kai Friedhoff draws up your internship plan: which sports groups, which days and which tasks in the club office.

Shadowing
Off you go! In the sports groups, the coaches and group leads are there for you; for everything else, Markus Lenz.

Keeps track of all internships and draws up the plans for your time in the sports groups and the club office.

Coordinates the internships and is your first point of contact – before and during your internship.
Coaches and group leads
Support in the sports groups
Take you along to training, explain how things work and are there for you in each sports group.
Child protection applies to internships too
Children and young people train in many of our groups. Anyone who shadows us follows our child protection rules. We will talk through what this means for your internship beforehand.
